Brian grew up singing is his church choir in Kentucky and became a member of the Backstreet Boys when he was still in high school. Nick, AJ and Howie were already part of the group in 1993 when there were still two spots to be filled. When Kevin Richardson joined, he suggested that his cousin Brian audition as the final member of the band. Brian was in an American History class when he got the call that would change his life. It wasn't until Kevin's call that Brian realised he wanted to be a professional singer. His voice was perfect for the five-part harmony the group had been seeking. The day he joined the band is the considered to be Day One of the Backstreet Boys.
