Chocolate Pecan Pie

INGREDIENTS

9 inch pie shell
1 cup light corn syrup
2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup melted butter
3 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup pecan halves
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips



DIRECTIONS

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Combine the corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, eggs and salt in a mixing bowl and beat at medium speed until well blended. Stir in the pecans and chocolate chips by hand. Pour into the pie shell and cover pie loosely with aluminum foil. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking 10 to 15 minutes until pie is set. Cool to room temperature and then refrigerate until ready to serve.
